Spirometalic Seals for Low Voltage Sealing BS and BSI Styles

Description

Low-stress sealing joints offer the excellent quality provided by the WR and WRI style spiral joints, but BS and BSI seals are designed for low compression seals with low stress tightening. These joints are intended to be used in class 150 and 300 flanges, and where users normally use soft, non-spirometal material joints.
Normally the spirometal joints have exposed steel on their sides, which requires a greater tightening torque for sealing. In the BS and BSI joints, the filling material protrudes over the metal of the spirometal joint, which when applied, seals on it. The soft fillings offered are graphite, virgin ptfe, ceramic and vermiculite.
