It is a type of self-centering gasket for use in flanges of raised face, flat face or joints of crazy flanges. To facilitate the assembly, the guide is placed diametrically on the bolts to center the joint properly and thus prevent eccentric displacements. They have a nominal thickness of 0.175 “, and an optimal compression of 0.130”.
For all nominal pipe sizes up to 24 “and 150 lb., and 400 lb.; and up to 8 “in 600 lb. for other nominal pipe sizes and higher pressures use the “WR” and “WRI” styles.
